Prior to graduating from law school, Brian passed the Bar Exam for the State of Indiana. Upon receiving his Doctor of Jurisprudence, he worked in the tax department of an international Big 8 accounting firm. Brian’s prior work experience also includes practicing with a law firm that practiced primarily in the area of insurance defense litigation.

During that time, Brian began to practice in the areas of estate administration and estate planning. Brian then joined a law firm as an associate attorney (and later as a partner), practicing primarily in the areas of estate planning, trusts, guardianships, estate administration, business transactions, and real estate transactions. Brian opened his own solo law practice over 20 years ago. These practice areas remain the primary focus of Brian’s law practice where he represents both individuals (in their estate planning and as executors, trustees, beneficiaries, and guardians) as well as financial institutions which serve as executors, trustees, and guardians, along with businesses across many different industries. In addition to practicing law, Brian has also owned and managed commercial real estate.

Brian is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association. He has been a speaker for continuing legal education seminars, served as a judge pro tempore for the local probate court, and served as a mediator. Brian and his wife have been married for more than 30 years and they are proud parents of two adult children. He has coached multiple youth sports teams, including travel baseball.

In his free time Brian enjoys spending time with his family, including his dog, and visiting friends. He also likes to watch Indiana University basketball, professional baseball (especially MLB spring training games), and play golf.
